Tickets to Sporting Events.
The internet has allowed holders
of season tickets who can't attend a given game sell their ticket to
someone who would like to purchase a ticket. Why buy form a season ticket
holder over the net? Some games are sold out and the only tickets available
are those season ticket holders can't use. Sometimes, season ticket
holders have choice seating and you can get a better seat that way than
going through the regular ticket purchasing agent.
Sports related tips:
* If an event is sold out keep checking
the secondary ticket sources such as those above since people will list
their season tickets for sell right up till the day of the event.
* To break in a baseball glove: Use
a little lanolin based leather conditioner or shaving cream to lather
the of hand palm portion of the (not much just a enough to get it damp--wipe
off excess) and let it set over night. Next day catch about 50 balls
in it then put a baseball in the palm of the glove and wrap a string
or rubber bands around the glove and let it sit for two days.
* Care of baseball bat: Clean after
use with rubbing alcohol --wipe down lightly don't wet. Keep away from
moisture and prevent from getting wet. If wet dry off immediately. Store
in cool dry place with low humidity. Store on end to keep away from
damp ground or floors.
* Care of Bowling Ball: Use a proprietary
cleaner available thru your local pro shop or if that is not available
using a cloth hand wash your ball with warm water with a non lanolin
based cleanser. The main thing is to keep it clean and prevent dirt
and oil from building up on it. Tape over the finger and thumb holes
(and any weight holes) before washing it. If water gets into the core
it may cause core separation from the cover.
* When going to an event and parking
among thousands of other cars in order to mark your vehicle so you can
see if from a distance tie a colored ribbon to the radio antenna or
if it doesn't have an antenna tie a helium filled balloon to a door
handle with a string long enough to be seen from a distance.
* Instead of dragging a grill and
charcoal or gas containers to the stadium parking lot you can cook the
hot dogs or burgers before hand at home on the grill and freeze them
till needed. Then microwave them and put them in a cooler with a heat
pack to keep them warm and still have warm dogs or burgers at the stadium
parking lot that have a cooked-out flavor to them..

and worth buying while they can still be bought. Its out of print
